Supportive Living

Smoky Lake Foundation provides two Designated Supportive Living homes: Bar-V-Nook Manor in Smoky Lake, and Vilna Lodge in Vilna.

At these two residences, we provide around-the-clock support that allows seniors to live independently in a safe, comfortable, and socially stimulating home environment. All meals are made fresh and delicious in our kitchens, and served in dining rooms at flexible times to meet residents’ personal preferences.

Our recreation programs give residents the option to get up and out and engaged in active and interesting activities, including exercise classes, excursions and special events. Residents live in self-contained suites and studios with housekeeping and linen services provided. Small to medium sized pets may be accepted with prior written approval.

Designated Supported Living (DSL3) care is provided through Alberta Health for individuals who are living with a physical disability, mental health diagnosis, or mild dementia, and who are medically and physically stable. DSL4-D care for individuals with moderate to severe dementia is available at Bar-V-Nook Manor.
